Four Core Commitments

At Grace Fellowship Church, we have four commitments that are core to who we are and what we do. While the Church—the body of Christ worldwide—serves to bring redemption to a broken world, each local expression of the body does so in ways that are unique to that church.

At Grace, we want to be all that God intends for us to be so that we can have the most positive influence possible. To this end, we want:

1. To be transformed in God’s presence

The change we long for comes when we connect with God and others in four transformational environments. These are:

  • Weekend worship services
  • Small group communities
  • Serving others to advance His purposes
  • Time alone with God

As we intentionally engage in these manners, we become, more and more, the persons God intended us to be.

2. To build healthy, authentic relationships that draw us and others closer to God

It’s easy to feel alienated these days. Being vulnerable about the true state of our lives eliminates this isolation, allowing intimacy to flourish, making us more like Jesus.

3. To serve the poor and unreached

God wants wholeness for our world. That’s why Jesus taught us to pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10, NIV). One of the ways we restore this wholeness is by serving those our society easily overlooks. As we serve the poor and unreached, we learn more about valuing people as God does.

4. To empower the next generations

Helping young people realize the fullness of God’s creative intent for them means that we need to invest in an inter-generational chain of influence. Each person in our church, regardless of their age, has a significant contribution to make to this world. As we come alongside our younger members, we have an opportunity to encourage them to fulfill the great and noble plans God has for them.
