When you come and visit us, you’ll find that we’re a rather eclectic collection of people! At Grace you’ll find people who have a longstanding relationship with Jesus, and others who are still exploring. You’ll find families; single moms; babies; students; recovering addicts; young adults; retired folks; people who love their jobs and some who don’t…in short, here you’ll find people who are really—just people. With a little difference: many of the folks who come here have had a taste of God’s grace, and what it means to be loved unconditionally, and they’re taking steps to live out of that truth.
Apart from the fellow human beings that you’ll bump into at a weekend service, there are several other components you may be curious about: music, dress, teaching, and options for children.
Contemporary Style
Our worship style is contemporary, which means you probably won’t find choirs and organs on a regular basis. Most services are lead by our own musicians who play guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, violin and whatever else can glorify God.
As far as what people wear to church, you’ll find people who like to dress up and people who are relieved to dress casually.
Team of Teachers
We have a team teaching model, which means that while there is thematic consistency throughout a particular teaching series, we do love the benefit that is derived from various teachers’ perspectives. You may hear Pat Goodman over several weekends, for example, and then Jeff Smith followed by Pat Goodman again, or maybe Danny O’Brien. (Stick around for several weeks and you’ll see why we love this diverse approach.) Our teachers have a knack for teaching that is relevant and engaging, while rooting itself in God’s Word.
A Family Affair
Our church has vibrant, energetic classes for children. We believe that children are incredibly important to God, and our children’s ministry takes great pleasure in creating interactive, applicable lessons. Our desire is that children experience God’s love and know His plan for their lives. To bridge the gap between home and church we also provide helpful tools for integrating lessons into family life.
Students on Fire
Students are some of our most vibrant members. Our student ministries help our middle and high school students live in the tension between the messages of our society and the truth of God’s Word. Relationships are key as students learn to integrate what they believe with how they live in large group worship settings, small group friendships, and service opportunities.
